Summer Rose OB 141

We completed the Summer Rose trawler in the Spring of 2018.

She was the third vessel commissioned from Parkol by seasoned skipper and boat owner John MacAlister, to fish out of Oban in the West of Scotland.

Daystar FR86

The Daystar was the first of our specially designed new class of ‘round bilge’ trawlers, the brainchild of our dedicated marine architect Ian Paton and resulting from his extensive fluid dynamics analysis which showed this type of layout offers much greater fuel efficiency.

Victory Rose WY 34

The Victory Rose forms part of the first new dedicated white fish pair trawler team to be built for owners in England for some time and is now fishing alongside her sistership Our Lass III WY 261, also built by Parkol. The Victory Rose’s completion marked the 30th anniversary year for its Yorkshire owners, Lockers Trawlers Ltd, who have been fishermen since the 1970s.

Trevessa IV PZ 193

We carried out a largescale upgrade and optimisation project on the Trevessa IV, the first stage in an ongoing programme to enhance the W Stevenson & Sons’ 12-strong fleet. The  dual objectives were to increase fuel efficiency and maximise the vessel’s performance, as well as improving crew comfort and safety.

Sparkling Star UL 290

We were very proud to have the opportunity to build the twin rig Sparkling Star trawler at our Whitby yard.  The first new boat to be purchased by long-serving skipper James Corbett, in partnership with Don Fishing, and designed to catch monkfish and megrims out of Kinlochbervie and Peterhead in Scotland, she symbolised the hopes and dreams of his mariner family.

St George’s Trawler PZ1053

We completed an extensive engine room renewal and general refurbishment on the 34.8m, Newlyn-based St George’s beam trawler in December 2017.
