Welcome to Parkol Marine Engineering, a time-served UK based company with a proven reputation for new boat builds. Since 1997 we have designed and constructed a total of 66 brand new boats. With our own specialist Marine Architect, we have the ability to design every type of vessel required across all industries. Over time and through listening to the specific needs of every customer, we have developed industry leading solutions for maximising fuel efficiency and the productivity of vessels. In addition we fully promote sustainable fishing methods for new fishing boats alongside safety and crew comfort across all new builds. Parkol includes engine, gearbox, propeller and nozzle assemblies for ultimate fuel efficiency. All our new build boats are fitted with the latest GPS navigation equipment as standard. With a powerful supplier network, we have direct access to leading components and services from over 500 of the best marine suppliers. Working closely with suppliers, we were the first company in 2018 to import a full Padmos engine package from the Netherlands, for installation on the Summer Rose trawler.
New Boat Safety
Every new boat we build at Parkol is completed to the highest and exact industry standards as set by the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA), Seafish, Class Authorities and the International Maritime Organisation for structural integrity, stability and structural fire protection alongside the Code of Safe Working Practice for fishing vessels.
Safety is paramount and we take this seriously at Parkol and that’s why we have built our own IT powered safety monitoring systems. This includes touchscreen wheelhouse and vessel status screens showing safety and alarm systems. Through our dedicated apps, crew members can even monitor the status of their vessels when on-shore.
