North Eastern Guardian IV

Project Details

24.5-metre aluminium fisheries patrol vessel designed for the North Eastern Inshore Fisheries and Conservation Authority (NEIFCA). Built to UK Workboat Code standards, it features modular interiors, maximum speed of 24 knots, range of endurance capabilities, and advanced navigation, safety, and hydraulic systems. Engineered for operational flexibility and durability, it will patrol the North-East UK coastline from the Tyne to the Humber, based in Whitby.

Design: Chartwell Marine Ltd.

“The build represents a number of firsts for Parkol, namely: first catamaran and all-aluminium build, first Government contract and workboat of this type, first build with Chartwell Marine and their innovative style of design. The design is based on their Ambitious Class CTV and was updated to suit the duties required of a fisheries patrol and research vessel”
