F4OR is a highly respected business improvement programme that supports UK companies in strengthening their capabilities and becoming part of the offshore renewable energy supply chain. Following a competitive national selection process, Parkol was chosen as one of just 17 companies in the latest cohort.
As the programme progresses, we’re working closely with industry experts to further enhance our business systems, operational capability and processes. Successful completion will lead to Fit 4 Granted status, strengthening our position as a trusted Tier 2 supplier to major offshore wind developers and their supply chains.
Our participation comes at an exciting time for both Parkol and the Yorkshire coast.
The recently published North Yorkshire Harbours Strategy 2026–2036 highlights offshore renewables, Crew Transfer Vessel (CTV) support, maritime skills and the new Whitby Maritime Hub as key drivers of future economic growth. The strategy recognises Whitby’s growing role in supporting the maintenance, servicing and operation of offshore wind vessels, alongside continued investment in maritime infrastructure and skills.
Parkol is proud to be playing an active role in that future.
Alongside our work within the F4OR programme, we’re progressing plans to lease a workshop at the new Whitby Maritime Hub, creating a dedicated base to support offshore operations, including CTV repair, maintenance and engineering services. This investment reflects our long-term commitment to the offshore renewables sector while building on our decades of experience in marine engineering and vessel construction.
