New Build Contract Announcement – Yard no. 073

We are delighted to announce that Parkol Marine Engineering has secured its first new build contract with Inverlussa Marine Services.

The vessel, to be known as Margaret McKenzie, will become Parkol Yard No.073 and represents the start of a new partnership between two well-established names in the UK maritime sector.

Designed by Macduff Ship Design Ltd., the 27-metre hybrid fish feed carrier will feature a 400-tonne feed hold capacity and will support Inverlussa’s growing operations across Scotland’s aquaculture industry.

In line with Inverlussa’s commitment to sustainability, the vessel will incorporate battery-hybrid technology and IMO Tier III compliant engines, delivering improved fuel efficiency and reduced emissions.

We are proud to have been selected as part of Inverlussa’s significant fleet investment programme and look forward to working closely with the Inverlussa and Macduff teams to bring this exciting project to life.

Construction of new build 073 will commence at our Middlesbrough shipyard, with delivery scheduled for 2027.

We thank Inverlussa Marine Services for placing their trust in Parkol and look forward to a successful project together.
